Why would you hate black people?
74The people I talk to who live in different countries will probably not understand, or be able to relate to this blog. Hell 50% of the people in my country will not be able to understand or relate to this blog either. The other 50% probably will disagree with what I say, but it needs to be said.
Black people. That word, that race of people, kind of strikes fear into your heart doesn't it? Yes sir, white America is deathly afraid of "the black guy". Public perception of black people is that they are dirty, lazy, and criminals. Ever since the slaves were "freed", and ever since they were given "equal rights" ( a century later). White people just can't get over their fear of black people. Our prisons are crowded with predominately young black men. The majority of which did not even commit a violent crime. The majority of which are incarcerated because they were using or selling a narcotic substance. Black people are still discriminated against in todays work force. Hear me out before you start bitching about how this is all not true. As a society, white (and rich people) always get the best educations, live in the best neighborhoods, and have the best jobs. Not because they worked hard, but because they were born privileged. Starting out with this giant head start is a great advantage. Subsequently, black people get to start out at the bottom. They live in the worst neighborhoods, go to the worst schools, and end up with the lowest paying jobs. This is not because they are lazy, this is because no one will give them a chance. It is extremely more difficult for a black (or poor white, for that matter) person to rise up and get the best jobs. Black people are not encouraged to become doctors because it is an unrealistic goal for them. They will never get a doctorate while they are working the lowest paid jobs. They will never get better paying jobs while they have a poor education. They will never get a good neighborhood to live in unless they have better jobs. As you can see, they cycle continues. Black people are encouraged to be athletes or rappers. This is their best shot at getting out of the ghetto and escaping a life of poverty. Living life in poverty is hard. It is something you can not understand until you have done it. I like to pretend I am well off but my electricity is getting turned off in two days. I still have it way better then a lot of people and I still show them sympathy. I have had way more opportunities then some of the black people I talk about could imagine. The truth is I blew my chances because I was dumb, they were never even given the chance. When you live in poverty for extended periods of time life becomes very depressing. You turn to drugs and alcohol to help you escape your problems. Those vices are addicting, after the addiction sets in you slip up and get caught and end up in prison. Then life is pretty much over. I also would like to point out several things a black person has never done to me: 1. A black person has never evicted me from my apartment. 2. A black person does not make me stand outside in the cold 33 degree weather while they sit 10 feet away in a heated building. 3. A black person has never "down sized" me. 4. A black person has never stole millions from stock holders. 4. Of the 3 times my cd player was stolen out of my car 2 times it was white people. 5. Every thing stolen from me from now all the way back to when someone stole a hockey puck out of my desk in first grade has been a white person (except the 1 isolated incident mentioned above). 6. A black person has never threatened to sue me. 7. A black person has never moved the company I work for over seas. 8. A black person has never sent poor Americans to die in a war over US corporate interests or oil. 9. A less qualified black person has ever gotten a job we were both contending for. This is just a short list, I could come up with at least 1000 more things but you get the idea.vote upvote downshareprintflag

I´m not sure if I really hate some one. Well, as a matter of fact I hate many people but none because of their skin colour, that´s for sure.
Interesting article. The stacks are generally stacked against many blacks but what makes me proud to be a black person is knowing that many of us overcome these odds and prove that inspite of having nothing we have something special within ourselves. Whether that something be a raw drive to excel or a deep, and powerful spirituality, it is far from a cliche when we say 'We Do - and Shall Overcome.'

How can a foreigner from another country who doesn't speak the language, doesn't have any money, and has felt real oppression make it in America? Many Hispanics, Asians, and Europeans are living in worst conditions than the average black person in America before risking their lives and spending great amounts of money to be part of the American dream. Why can they suceed but not black americans. Instead of whinning about a mythical white devil and his plan to keep the black man down why not work hard and promote strong families, education and religion into the black community.
Despite the idealogy of hate and victimization in the black community many blacks have made it to the middle class.
Too make a long story short instead of blaming the white population start to look at your black leaders who do nothing but set the bar lower for young black men, poor schools, bad parenting, weak families and a culture of no accountability. If every other race on the planet can make something of themselves so can you! Good Luck and remember you hold the key to success.
The problem with blacks is a vicious cycle. One starting problem turns into another and then into another. For example, the stereotype that blacks are lazy isn't really true. Blacks couldn't get jobs for a long time after they were "freed" and some turned to other routes. Now that it is easier to get jobs even though the odds are still stacked against them, some have the mentality that they can now only do certain things. They don't have higher hopes b/c for so long they hoped and couldn't reach.
No one is blaming whites, and I don't think blacks should be blamed either. I think the point of the government is to help ALL Americans succeed and have equal opportunities. But over 200 years of slavery plus 100 more years or so of fighting to truly be free can't be undone overnight. There are issues on top of issues on top of issues! Some manage to prevail but everyone can't.
Also, for the record. Asians and others from other countries can move to the united states and get loans easier to open up small business (for example: Nail shops) and blacks can't do that as easily. Explain that and tell me things have changed and that black ppl just need to help themselves.
I think the government needs to help ALL people and WE ALL need to start thinking as Americans and not be so concerned with our individual selves. Think about how much more as a country we could progress if companies would stop sending jobs overseas for cheap labor and if we'd invest more in efficient energy and if we'd stop looking at the color of oe another skin when the only real difference is 1 gene out of 3 million! One thing people have to realize, white or black or rich or poor is that the people who are at the top right now, more specificaly some in our government are mostly doing what they can to keep themselves from losing out. Everyone else gets hurt in the mean while. When that bank bail out money trickles down to the auto makers or the schools, or the poor people, PLEASE let me know. In the mean while, we all need to join together b/c there comes a time when everyone needs a helping hand.
Black people have fucked up all the neigbhorhoods by me. This is just a fact. They have too many kids, have no manners or respect for other people, and get violent quick.10 years ago I was surrounded by completely safe all white neigbhorhoods with TPing and underage smoking and skateboarding being what would pass as huge crime waves. ok. as an african american woman, born and raised in a neighborhood that is claimed to be the worse in brooklyn, Bedford-Stuyversant.. i can say that not all black people are lazy, in fact the black people in my neighborhood work more than one job, and still tak care of their kids. I think its so easy for white people to just generalize all blacks because of that they see on t.v. Yea there are some black people out there who do more than stupid things, but the same can be said for white people. And "hip hop " is not the blame for anything. as a white person you would like at it and think that oh yea it is so horrible.. but thats because it is not about "you". Even though we wish everyone could just not include race into anything that fact is that we are living in two different cultures... so of course the hip hop culture would mean nothing to you......
I've lived in/around poverty all my life, still do, so I know it's a cycle that i sh ard to break. I had the opportunity to attend predominantly white and therefore, priveledged/good schools some of the time. Going back home (hood), talking to my friends who didn't have the same advantage was a real eye-opener. We learned different things at the same time in the same grade. A lot of my hood folks didn't have or shared books; I had new shiii every year. I saw clean sidewalks, upgraded desks, teachers with grrrrrreeeat credentials, kids driving being dropped off at school in bmw's and mercedes, who went to the mall shopping...for fun, kids who look forward to a bright future. Teh, again I return home to the hood and other than learning in a good school, things aren't so promising, no college money, nobody around my way with a good job, drity sidewalks, public transportation, low-budget shopping centers with carry-outs, liquor stores, and the dollar store/$10 clothes store...things are definitely different. Those who haven't lived it shouldn't speak on it EVER...unless, it's to offer a helping hand.

I disagree with this article b/c well i have no idea which country you are in. But i disagree b/c i live in a black neighborhood and the people there are just rude and complete arses. No, its not the ghetto, rather its more like government housing so it;s not like they're dirt poor. Regardless, they have no respect for other minorities such as asians and arabs and etc. other than their own.
One last thing, i noticed that whenever i'm on a train or even in the mall, its USUALLY the group of black kids that are extremely loud and obnoxious. When someone told them to quiet down and they yelled curses at the man. When you compare a group of asians kids or mexican kids, i'd say that a group of black kids are most often the loudest, some were even singing badly at the top of their lungs disturbing the peace of other people on the train. They have no manners and are rude as hell. I know i'm generalizing but i have met so few good mannered and respectful black people in my life. Now, this is just based on my experiences NOT the media or stereotypes.

This article is not sound. The poor have financial aid and if you're a minority you have more financial aid at many institutions. People don't hate black people just because they're black. The truth of the matter as you pointed out above is that black people choose predominate many of the jails in the US. They choose to commit crimes and the majority of blacks have parents who choose to raise them poorly.
I'll call it a social phenomenon that black people are louder and more disorderly than other races. I believe that it is due to black culture, so the cause of the hatred toward blacks is due to their culture rather than their skin color. I've been to many states in the US and the majority of blacks do seem a bit out-of-line with society in terms of conduct and noise levels. I can't say that black people are any less than other races,but the majority tend to be rude. I would say that this stereotype will change, but every 10 blacks that I see who act civilized (according to actual laws) I see twice as many who are obnoxious.
Of course, I see other people who are noisy and disorderly as well, but the ratios are a lot different. There are many hispanics who obey the law in the towns I've been in (most recently NC and NY) and it just so happens that there are less hispanics that seem to be breaking the laws (littering, noise, and a few bi-laws regarding public transportation that are communicated by the PA systems of public transportation)

This is a completely ignorant article. Maybe the Black community are going through more obstacles on a daily basis than the average White person, but they are not the only ones! Compared to say the Asian minorities (whom, might I add, are constantly being belittled for being Asians - ching chong anyone?) or the Mexican/European community who HAVE achieved success in U.S., the Blacks are just deluding themselves in thinking that they have it the worst. I've been in public school systems all my life - very black/hispanic oriented, fights break out everyday -(accepted into a prestigious high school) and am now in a state-funded university to get my nursing degree so that I can get a job when I'm out and possibly continue my education so that I can earn more. You want to sympathize BLACK people?!?! Sympathize the rest of us, not just the Blacks. I've made a better life for myself, without excuses, so BLACK people can do so as well.
I can't believe how badly-behaved Black people. To this day I still see them behaving horribly. Just yesterday, my sister's game card was stolen by a little black girl, who refused to admit that she did, and when I spoke to her, the mother accosted me and lied to me about her daughter not stealing my sister's stuff. I've already reported this incident to the authorities; it seems that THAT's the only way to monitor and regulate these people. Okay now you have made a bunch of invalid points. You cannot accurately generalize peoples behaviors based on the color of their skin. And yes Colin Powell did have alot to do with sending soldiers to their deaths. But now look. Take a step back for a second and everything you say should be a general rule. Now I am white and poor. And grew up in the slum so I have never been privileged. I have been beat up, robbed, stolen from, lied to, taken advantage of. And just about everything else you could possibly imaged by people of all colors but especially of people who were not my color. Great strides have been made to give everyone equal footing and opportunity but one thing prevales. And everyone is guilty of it. And that is racism. It is a perfectly natural defense mechanism. There is only one socially acceptable way to act in America and guess which way that is??? It is like a white person. If you deviate from that you are bound to be persecuted and hated for not embracing this countries ways. Simple. Now the white race for the most part and ever since has pretty much conquered and colonized every country in the world. Why is the white race soo powerful? Because they were the first country to industrialize and that power gave us unlimited potential. Now since it's natural for people to hate that which is different and think they are inherently superior to everyone else. Since that is so then since the whites still to this day control most of the power/money in the world along with the jews and asians it is pretty safe to say that those are the only acceptable ways to act. Period. Now forget about fair etc etc. THis is about survival and prosperity. SO love your white person. Or suffer the consequences of not. It's your choice. Minority.

Ugh.. Really? Okay, for the people saying black people are lazy? You are so wrooong. Okay, I'm black, my mom is mexican, my grandma is white lol. I'm all mixed. I've lived in an all white town my whole life. I'm not racist lol. I moved away from that town and moved to a "lower class" town 2 hours away from my old place. I met a black girl the very first day moving here. She was loud, obnoxious. Very annoying actually. I wasn't used to other black people. Hahah, that sounds weird but it's absolutely true. But, then I met a black boy at school he lives in a very large house. His parents are very well mannered. Now, that actually makes me sad to hear people saying, "BLACK PEOPLE ARE ALL LAZY, THEY DONT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN, THEY RUIN EVERYTHING" No. That is not true, there are white people by where I live. They have a disgusting habit of leaving their garbage all around their lawn, leaving their little children outside un-protected. They don't seem well educated at all. My point is, this could be anyone. I could have met a white girl that was loud and obnoxious. It doesn't matter what color. I think it's just based on personality... As a 22 year old African American Female I've experienced enough racism to last a lifetime and it makes me sick!!! Everything from almost being hit by a (white) man in a truck, in S.C. obviously, to being told as a child that I couldn't take a certain class because it was going to be too hard for me. Well I ended up taking that class and go straight A's. For all of you who think that ALL blacks are lazy and stupid lets not FORGET that some of the most important inventions in this country were made by BLACKS!!!! At 22 yrs of age I work a full time job, a part time job, and I also attend college!!!! I can't speak for any other race, but its very hard for my brothers and sisters to think about a college education when all their attention is focused on survival 100% of the time.(those of us who don't sell drugs or steal for a LIVING), and might I add that all theives and drug dealers are not black or hispanic........ The real drug dealers wear nice suites and carry brief cases and their skin is NOT black!!!!!...Think about it(BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY!!!) Some of which even call themselves doctors!!!! Take it from somebody who knows, It is easier for foriegners to make it in this country because THEY actually get aid quicker that ANYBODY.... Do your research!!!!!

To prove my point just take a look at most of the last names of the slave owners. Most of the WHITE family's today with the same last name, who are decendants of previous slave owners own large amounts of property, and have money that was invested/stolen and PASSED DOWN FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION, and they also have the ability to start a business quicker being that they have better resources that are readily available to them. With these resources anybody could make it!!!! Life is not so easy being born with nothing, and working your way up from the bottom!!!! This is something that very few people understand because they do not have to live it............ It's just like the large amount of people who did not want Health Care Reform. I'd bet my bottom dollar that if they lived from paycheck to paycheck and couldn't afford insurance and needed to see a doctor, they would have voted YES!!!!... I am a white man who recently moved to Harlem. It was an eye-opening experience. I have never seen such callos rudeness in my life. The noise level is deafening. Ask civilly or politely for music to be turned down (not off, just down), and you're called a racist, a white devil, faggot and told to leave Harlem. Yesterday, some drummers were playing for money outside my window. The windows were rattling! And what was I told? "I put a curse on you!" (I swear this is true.) All of my longstanding liberal pieties are eroding -- this is not a problem or race, per se, as much as culture. And it's an anti-intellectual, selfish, brutish, criminal culture. It wouldn't matter if they were green -- I don't hate their skin, just their behavior.
There is a big difference between being racist and being opposed to a certain culture. I judge people on their actions, not on their genetics. That would be racism.
But you're putting your fingers in your ears and saying "LA LA LA!" if you don't think that a lot of contemporary black culture is highly problematic ... either that or you don't live in a big city. I live in London, and the black people commit a disproportionate amount of crime here. Every time you hear of a shooting, stabbing etc. it's black people.
And it's very rare that you see a normal black kid here these days. They're always hooded, walking with a swagger and acting obnoxious. Many times I get yelled at just for the way I look with their dumb fucking poser language "Ye blud wagwan wid da sheet!"
I have a few black friends (who are actually from Zimbabwe and only moved here a couple of years ago for school) and they agree with me that the black culture here is just absurd. It's not a matter of skin colour, it's a matter of culture. For the record, there are a bunch of white people who try and copy this culture, who are equally despicable, but they're only a minority of the white population - I have yet to even see a regular black person walking down the street here!
Generally speaking, I love the oriental and Asian people here, I love the Europeans here, but the black people are trouble. I'm not saying this for any other reason than what I've seen first-hand.
And when I lived in a more rural area, I always thought the way you're sort of meant to: "Everyone's equal, everyone who says anything bad about black people is racist and dumb!" but I really got a reality check.

I also see Black people segregating themselves from society. There's BET, Black Chamber of Commerce, Miss Black America, Kwanzaa, Black-only frats, Black-only churches and schools, affirmative action, etc. You are deemed a racist if you don't like Obama's views. Black Panthers are not as bad as the KKK (even though they are violently racist and talk about killing white people) because they're Black and Black people "can't be racist or have the right to." Is there a Miss Latino America? No. Is there a TV channel for Asian-Americans? No (only Korean/Chinese/etc.-speaking channels because of the language, not the color of their skin). Is there a holiday that celebrates the birth of Christ AND Native-American pride? No. Is there a White Chamber of Commerce? No. We all share the same things, except Black people who think they need their own. They are so into segregation that they even feel they need to develop their own way of speaking and keep that going.
In America, we encourage EVERYONE to be who they want to be. If a Black person is being discouraged from that, then it's from their parents. It's their parents who constantly feel they need to DEFINE their skin color for them. They are told they are "different" from everyone else at a very young age. THIS should be discouraged. ANYONE can make it in America. There are a TON of black doctors, athletes, rappers, singers, talk show hosts, actors, scientists, etc. who all make bank. If we try hard enough, we can all make it through public school with good grades, pay our way through college, and get great jobs to support ourselves. I see rich White kids being forced to pay their way through college even, because their parents don't want to spoil them.

I didnt know anything about Africa and America isnt making it any easier to make just a decent living, but I am now a proud African American. Hey I skimmed through your articles and it gave me some thoughts about issue of race. These days, even the blacks have enough to live on their own. This becomes a problem because black parents raise their kid's like babies and they think they're the bestest race and the trend makes them think that they're the best.
I remember the times when we were young. We use to fool around when we want it too. But black youth's (or immigrants) today seems to have different values. They degrade their dignity anytime they want something. I think parents today should teach their kid's about respect.

While it may be true that a minority of black people do commit a majority of crime in the country, it seems as though society is giving us little other options. I'm a light skinned Black girl from Richmond, Virginia. I live a very multi-cultural diverse life, with a a very laissez-faire attitude. Unfortunately, I sometimes do not get the same acceptance and respect back in return.
I grew up upper middle class and my parents have been married for over 30 years. Not a week goes by where I don't have some White, Black, Hispanic or Asian giving me a disgusting looks and/or teasing me for what they call "talking and acting white."
I am not acting or putting on a play-- I speak the proper English that was taught to me in my home and at school. Also, I never lived in a low-income neighborhood so why should I fake being something that I am not?
As much as Non-Blacks complain about Black people a large majority of them refuse to let Black people be anything other than the poor,loud, angry, ghetto stereotype. If you are Black and not this way, everyday somebody is going to tell you that you can't do something because you are Black.
I have faced tons of prejudice from other Blacks, Whites, Asians, Hispanics all because of my speech pattern and proper pronunciation. At school the other Blacks would say to me "Why you don't talk loud-- We Black we talk loud" "You funny looking, why you got White girl hair"-- the list goes on. I had White friends walk up to me and call me "White girl," I always had to correct them and go "No I am Black."
Because I am Black I've been told that I shouldn't listen to Rock music, that I shouldn't date inter-racially (hey I date who comes to me), that I shouldn't be eating sushi or Indian food. My mom and dad make fun of my music taste and food. They don't know that many Non-Black men actively seek me out to date me; when they find out they will have a fit.

I have lived in so many communities that were predominantly white when i first moved in to them,that later became predominantly black.it really is the culture NOT the skin color!!! and it's not racist to despise a culture that spawns ,breeds bad behavioral traits.each community i lived in had of course a small amount of problems..loud parties now and then and the occasional boom car..but when each area,over time, became predominantly black,slowly the area began to get noisier..eventually property was being vandalised,thefts were occuring and nearby stores were being stolen from and clerks were reporting blacks of course(to the police).the clerks were very open with the white customers as to the fact it was blacks that were stealing.many of the whites were regular customers and the clerks were totally frustrated that blacks had moved in to the area so much in numbers/.this occured,as i said,in every area i've lived in in the last 13 areas i've lived in.i'm 57 years old and have moved from area to area to avoid living in predominantly black areas.form experience i guarantee YOU,i'm not hateful of black people as i realise it's not skin color that causes a person to steal or worse!! it's their culture..over time,some cultures develop badly and black is at the top of the list here in america.//.i now live in a small town wherein blacks won't become the dominant force.it's a small country town full of what one might call good ol' boys,instead of boomcars and rap and hip hop and crime,i'm hearing roosters and horses and coyotes and other stuff i don't recognise..and it's great.no blacks living here..it's sad that white flight still exists..but it does.google the race demographics in springfield missouri and clever and nixa missouri..there's tons of predominantly white areas to move to that won't ever become overly crowded with blacks.not all cities are predominantly black.it's geographical.a lot of people don't realise it and you'll never read it in the media but many states only have 4 and 5% black as a total..sounds impossible huh..it's true though.the media would have you believe that interracial relationships are the norm'..that's false btw.people generally date within their own race.newer studies prove this has always been the case,but the media ,especially hollywood,is overtly(via movies,etc)attempting to convince the avrerage joe and debby that black dates white as common as white dates white..NOT TRUE..anyways..if you live in a ghetto full of snoop dogs or anything resembling it..go white flight!! it's not sensible to remain in an area wherein you have to deal with crappy behavioral problesms,loud ass noise and crime 24/7
Why do people always grouping minorities together? No two people are alike just because they belong to the same racial or ethnic group. I live in a predominately Black middle class suburb, and most of my neighbors are doctors, nurses, teachers lawyers, cops ; and guess what they are all Black. Black female here who grew up in the suburbs of Southern California. My great grand parents were farmers in the South and there children chose to move to Harlem NYC in the late 20's early 30's for a better opportunity for themselves and their children. My father was born and raised in Harlem and served in the Army durning the Korean War. He came home after the war and went to college, he moved to Southern, California and purchased a home in a predominately white neighborhood. As a child I was harrassed and berated had our mail stolen and burned, had crosses burned on our lawn, had "Niggers Go Home" spray painted on our home. And these things were all done by white people. I often wondered growing up if it would have been safer to live in a black community. And now at the age of 40, after serving 8 years in the military, 4 years of college an graduate school. I find myself 100 times smarter than the majority of the whites I have worked with in corporate America. But because I am black, I am normally the last to be hired and the first to be fired. Because the top of the food chain in corporate America is still controlled by white males who would rather work with someone like them, then someone like me.

Saying the "Black Community" has been oppressed for 400 years may or may not be true. Take a look into the past it was not just blacks that was slaves. You had whites that was slaves too.
